Use a 3/2/1 or 2/1 buydown to save big money on your monthly mortgage payment for the first few years of your home loan! Buydowns are a powerful financing tool for both buyers and sellers in real estate transactions. A buydown can benefit a buyer because it lowers the buyer’s monthly mortgage payment by hundreds of dollars each month for the first three years, two years or first year of ownership, essentially buying the buyer time until interest rates are lower and the buyer can refinance.
