2022 Red Hot Real Estate Market | January Housing Market Update
Real estate news from the start of 2022 is rolling in and signs are pointing towards another red hot housing market. Housing inventory is down, buyer demand is still high, bidding wars are back for another season, and prices are jumping up…all despite interest rates beginning to creep up. Housing experts who had previously announced that the US housing market would level off as we moved into 2022 are revising their predictions and warning that this year may be the most intense housing market buyers have ever seen. Zillow, Redfin and the National Association of Realtors are warning people to buckle up for another wild ride in 2022. The housing crash that many buyers hoped for has not happened–and it won’t–find out why! In this video I’ll give you five reasons why the real estate market isn’t gong to crash and why you should not put off buying a home. I also discuss the January 2022 real estate data for the greater Iowa City area and what it means for both buyers and sellers.
